22 birds in a Yankeetown tree...

Yankeetown, FL, has this fascinating tree that is always a special visit for me.  This time it was filled with birds (yes, 22 of 'em this time) and my infrared camera was ready.  (Processed with NIK tools and Flypaper texture added for effect.)

Say Hello !

The Manatee are some of the most docile of all animals, however, when they decide to check you out, THEY WILL !  These aquatic relatives of the elephant are so very interesting and wonderful to watch.

White water along the creek

Sweetwater Creek outside Atlanta, GA in infrared.

I used NIK Silver EFX Pro and some of NIK's tools to create this image. A slow shutter speed helps convey the mood and drama of the white water.

Numbers 613 and 612 were just too charming to pass up. Photographed at Martha Berry College in Rome, GA.

A Civil War era clothing and uniform factory along Sweetwater Creek near Atlanta, GA.

I used NIK's tone mapping mode as well as some NIK tools to create drama and mood from a time long ago.

The old Pate farmhouse was built in 1867 after Mr. Pate returned from the Civil War. It's nearly ready to collapse, so documenting it now is important.

In keeping with the mood of the house, I used some NIK and onOne tools to retain some of the nostalgia and drama of the setting as I saw it in my mind's eye.
